Well Done Handsome Man

This past week was a crazy one, but crazy is not necessarily a bad thing. Max is busy, busy, busy with track, office, school and work. Thursday was Joy Luck. Which meant as president, Max had to buy all the people in office with him a personal gift to say Thank You. He had a great idea to make mugs for them with their sweater name on them, and then we bought small gifts to put inside.

Ella: (The Short One) Will be going to Davis next year so Max bought her blue darts and and dart gun. He told her she may be a Davis Dart, but she will always bleed blue.

Jaylee: (The Sweet One) He bought Dove's Chocolates, and gave her a Calendar so she can keep track of everything next year in office.

Me'ilai: (The Confused One) He bought her a Moana coloring book, and markers because she made the best posters. He also gave her a lei because, . . . well that is her name

Jonah: (The Cool One) He gave him a salt shaker with his name on it and popcorn, because he made popcorn every day they had their office class.

Spencer: (The Hammy One) He gave him a Match Box car because he was able to drive the whole year, and he was the designated driver. He also gave him some Starbursts because he is a dancer, and loves to perform.

Natalie: (The Classy One) Since she is going to be a Lancelle next year, Max gave her bobby pins, and also a homemade diamond necklace because she told Max to give her one.

Alyss: (The Crazy One) Alyss loves memes and vines, so Max gave her a memo pad which we changes to Memes, and Red Vines.

He also gave each one of them Junior Mints because they are going to be juniors next year.

Lastly, he made Shauna and Campbell a mug too. They were the advisers over student government. All in all, I think they turned out pretty nice. The next day, Jacey and I brought Max his dress clothes (so he could take next year's officer pictures), and were able to witness Max in action with the rest of the officers. You could absolutely tell who the Alpha Dog of the group was. I am so proud of my handsome humble son. We did have a discussion on the way home about letting the new president rise to the position, and the need to support them. He knows that often the best leaders are the best followers. We will see how this next year plays out.

Shauna and Campbell both told me Max was a great president, and they are excited to have him one more year. (Well they are planning on having him for 2 more years, but he does have to go through the election process, and you never know how that will turn out. He also has free agency, and may choose to go another direction.)

I guess, you can surmise that Max's application for cabinet went favorably, and they have assigned him to be the Artist for next year.  This also means we have way too many credit hours to fit into his schedule. I absolutely do not know how anyone gets to take elective classes.

This is what Max has outlined for next year.

AP Language
Calculus
Calc Lab
CE History
Physics
Medical Anatomy (2 periods)
Seminary
Student Government

His counselor is recommending him to lighten his load, but where exactly does he do that? He has to take Math, English, Science, and History. He wants to take Exercise Sports Medicine next year so he has to have Medical Anatomy this year. Seminary is important, and he now has a student government class. He is either going to have to take early morning seminary or take a different math class. Decisions, Decisions!! So hard!!
