Max's Fine Moment

What I couldn't write on social media because it would sound an awful lot like bragging!! BUT, I can definitely brag on my own private blog. I think my son is pretty much worth bragging about.

 

First of all, about a month ago, Max came home and told me that he was selected to be in the Honor Society presidency. Which meant, his peers voted him in to this position, and he was honored. He conducted the meeting last night to recognize his fellow classmates.

Second of all, he was honored, and given a special medal for being one of a handful of students that were inducted each of the three years while at Fairfield Jr. High. He was a member of the first seventh grade class to be inducted.

Third, when the administration gave them permission to pull any face they wanted for the yearbook picture, most of the kids stood there as if the didn't know what to do. Max and the two girls on the front row were the only ones to let loose. Thanks Max for being able to let go, and get silly.

Fourth, the ninth graders wanted a picture of their own. Love, love, love the fact that they are realizing that they are not the only ones in the universe, and want to remember the journey. Many of these kids will be going to different high schools.

Jacey who came to support her brother stated, "Max is getting a lot of stuff." (referring to the award itself, the pin for being in the presidency, and the medal for being inducted all three years.)  Indeed he did. This was one of those moments in life that you can absolutely feel the magnificence of the being in front of you.

So my statement on social media was an understatement. Well done indeed handsome man! You made your momma cry. How could I not when my happy heart was exploding with pride.
