Medieval May Pole Toppers

This is my current project for my kids. Max's school usually lets the sixth graders go to Surf and Swim for the end of the year. This year, testing conflicted with their day to swim. So they are going to have a Medieval Party. (Max gets to be a peasant.)

I was asked to help, and at the meeting, no one wanted to be in charge of the May Pole station. I volunteered knowing they had all the stuff to do it and all I had to do was show up. Wrong! The May Poles that they had were useless. You couldn't even use the ribbons to dance with. They had glued them to the base. So I made my own. These are the cute bird houses that I made to go on top of them.
