Hawaii - Day 7 (Part 1)

Before we left for Hawaii, we put together a list of the most important things to do while we were in Hawaii.  I put on the list a catamaran ride.  I was not disappointed.
Alan found a great deal on Groupons for us. It combined the catamaran ride with snorkeling.  We would all do it again in a heartbeat.
Our captain was Don, and his helper was Reese.  (Reese, it turned our, was a lifesaver when we accidentally dropped our snorkel and it went to the bottom of the ocean.)

Max of course felt like he got the raw end of the deal because he had to wear a life jacket.  Apparently, if kids are under 12 they are required to wear one.  This did not make him happy, and almost ruined the ride for him.  Fortunately, as soon as he got in the water to snorkel, he decided to be happy.

Swimming with the turtles.
Note for the future:  Teach the kids how to use underwater point and shoot cameras.

When we climbed into the boat, Captain Don sighted some dolphins, and chased them for awile.  Our three hour ride went a little longer because of it.  No one was complaining, and Max was happy by then.
