Dodger Game #2

 Last night was Max's second baseball game of the season.  Here is the play by play for his dad.

Dodger's vs. Mariner's
1st Inning:  (top) Max played right center.  Missed a catch, but retrieved it and threw to 2nd base.  The second baseman didn't catch the ball and it bounced off his mitt and hit him in the face. (bottom) Max batted 3rd.  First pitch a strike.  Second pitch a ball.  Third pitch a ball.  Fourth pitch Max hit it just over 2nd base.  The player should have caught it, but missed it and had to run to get it.  When he did, he threw the ball home, allowing Max to get a double.  Max also got to score in this inning, by sliding home.  Score was 2:2

2nd Inning:  (top) Played 3rd base, but did not see any action.  Three up, three down. (bottom) Dodger's only did slightly better with four up.  Score still 2:2.

3rd Inning:  (top)  Max played short stop.  1st batter hit to Max.  Max stopped the ball, remembered to take a step before throwing and threw to 1st.  The first baseman missed the ball and the runner advanced to 2nd.  (bottom)  Dodger's scored one run.  Score 3:2

4th Inning:  (top) Max sat out.  (bottom)  Max was first to bat.  The team started chanting "Go Dodger's" which annoyed Max.  His first pitch went foul.  2nd pitch went foul.  3rd pitch went foul.  Third pitch Max struck out.  Score was 6:5

5th Inning:  (top)  Max played short stop again.  Missed a stop, and then held the play.  (bottom)  Dodger's finished strong, AND MOM WAS ASKED TO COACH FIRST BASE.  What were they thinking?  Jacey thought it was so funny that she had to take a picture and video the whole thing.  She even had to call her dad to report what I was doing.  Silly Jacey!  Even though I was a bit nervous, I did just fine.  I didn't cause any errors.  Ending Score was Dodger's winning 8:7.
