Camp Fife - Cub Scout Day Camp

Max and the Wolf and Bear Dens of our pack went off to Day Camp this last Friday. I was lucky enough to be able to go with them. It is always a tender moment for me to see the flag raised and lowered during the day. The staff do such a great job at teaching the boys.

Thanks Uncle Kim for giving us practice with this one. Max is a natural. He could even go sideways. He was bound and determined to go around the side even with one of the foot holds gone. He would not give up.

Even chaperones with no experience were inspired to give it a try. Fingernails, we found were a little bit of a challenge.

Learning the cooperation of teamwork.
We only had one moment of panic. Trevor was a sport about it all. In true scout fashion, he toughed it out and stayed the whole day. At the end of the day, I asked him how he was doing. His response to my question was, "It only hurts a little when I talk."

Our camp cheer:

We came to Camp Fife, to learn Cub Scout life.

We all climbed the walls, Without any falls.

The bikes were a trip, Only one did a flip.

The ziplines were cool, Charity RULES!

(Charity was our assigned guide, and with Dana along our cheer got choreographed too.)
